Post Pointers
A post pointer machine puts a clean, consistent point on fence posts ready for driving into the ground, replacing what would otherwise be a slow and inconsistent job with a hand axe or chainsaw. Rabaud post pointers handle round and split timber of various diameters, with models that point two or four sides in a single pass for high-volume fencing operations.

Why Use a Post Pointer?
A pointed fence post drives into the ground more easily and with less damage to the timber than a blunt-ended one, which is why post pointing is a standard step in commercial fencing production. Doing this by hand is slow and produces inconsistent results, particularly across large batches. A dedicated post pointer tool from Rabaud removes that inconsistency, producing a uniform point on every post regardless of diameter or wood type. For anyone producing fence posts in volume, it is one of the simplest ways to speed up the process and improve the quality of the finished product.
Two-Sided and Four-Sided Pointing in a Single Pass
Rabaud post pointers are available in configurations that point either two or four sides of the post in one pass, so the timber comes out ready to drive straight into the ground without needing to be repositioned or passed through the machine again. The pointing angle is mechanically adjustable to suit different post diameters, and the blades are designed for sustained use across hard-wearing wood varieties. This means you can work through large batches of fence posts without stopping to make constant adjustments.
Electric Drive for Yard-Based Production
Rabaud’s post pointer machines run on three-phase electric power, making them well suited to a fixed yard or workshop setup where mains supply is available. Electric drive keeps running costs low compared to engine-powered alternatives and provides consistent power output throughout the working day. If fence post pointing is a regular part of your production line alongside peeling, splitting or driving, these machines integrate easily into an existing fencing machinery workflow.
