Leaf Vacuum

When leaf clearance needs to happen at scale, a leaf vacuum mounted to a tractor is the most efficient way to get the job done. Rabaud builds a range of PTO-driven leaf vacuums that collect, shred and contain large volumes of leaves in a single pass, taking a job that would occupy a grounds team for days and condensing it into hours.

How a Tractor-Mounted Leaf Vacuum Works

Each Rabaud leaf vacuum connects to the tractor’s PTO and uses a high-output turbine to generate powerful suction through a wide intake hose. Leaves are drawn in, shredded on entry to reduce volume, and deposited into an integrated hopper or collection container mounted on the machine. The shredding action means you collect significantly more material per load than you would with a standard blower-and-trailer setup, and the compacted leaf matter is easier to compost or dispose of afterwards. It is a straightforward system that lets one operator cover large areas without stopping to rake, bag or reload.

Grounds That Benefit Most From a Leaf Vacuum

Any site with mature tree cover and a need to keep surfaces clear will get the most from a dedicated leaf vacuum. Parks, sports grounds, golf courses, school grounds, caravan sites, estate gardens and municipal green spaces all generate the kind of leaf volume that overwhelms hand tools and pedestrian blowers during autumn. A Rabaud leaf vacuum is built for exactly that scenario — sustained, high-volume collection across open ground where a tractor can operate freely. They are equally useful for clearing grass cuttings, light litter and other organic debris outside of the leaf season, so the attachment earns its place on the tractor year-round.

Picking the Right Leaf Vacuum for Your Site

The main variables are suction capacity, hopper size and whether you need a road-towable configuration or a compact rear-mounted unit. Larger sites with heavier leaf fall will benefit from the higher-output models that shift more air and hold more material before needing to be emptied. Smaller estates or grounds teams may find a more compact leaf vacuum suits their tractor and storage setup better.
