Balfor Forestry Winches Technology

Balfor Forestry Winches are available in three-ton, 3.5-ton, 4.5-ton, 5.5-ton, 7.5-ton, and 9-ton versions.

All models from 3.5 ton upwards are fitted as standard with top and lower pulley, and models from 4.5 ton are upward with a tow hitch. The winches have a carbon clutch with doubled surface area to provide longer service life. They are also fitted with a full-width butt plate and window guard as standard. Balfor Winches uses an automatic locking band brake with adjustable preload for easy unwinding.

R models have a lower winch speed reduced to 0.6m/s.

H* models are Electrohydraulic controlled, reducing user fatigue and allowing for an upgrade to a wireless remote control if required. For greater productivity, there is also an option for a hydraulic cable HUD* unwinder on models 7 tons upwards.
